Send a friend an official-looking (completely fake) fish registration notice
FAKE FISH is a birthday joke. Your friend gets a pompous “Notice of Unregistered Fighting Fish”, then a run of ridiculous registry letters they answer by multiple choice, and finally a reveal: “Happy birthday, it was a joke from you.”
This website is satire and parody. FAKE FISH is not a government agency, department, registry or regulator, and it is not connected with, endorsed by or acting for the Australian Government, the Queensland Government or any other public body. Every crest, emblem, form, fee, notice, case number and official-sounding name on this site is made up for comedy.
Nobody is required to register a fighting fish here, and nothing on this site has any legal effect. Any "fee" is the price of a joke birthday gift, paid by the person playing the prank. The friend who receives a notice is told it is a joke from you, can end it at any time, and can ask never to be emailed again.
How it works
Full details: options, prices and payment terms
1. Tell us your name, your friend's email and their fish's name.
2. Tick the honest disclaimer.
3. Choose how the prank runs: automatic or hands-on, how silly, and how long.
4. Pay the $3.49 AUD Sender Dispatch Levy (plus any joke insurances you choose; all optional).
Your friend can play along (optional $3.49 AUD), or just see the joke for free. They can end it instantly at any time.
